Although Uruguay has been used as a waterfowl hunting destination by people from all over the world for many years now it still maintains a lot of hidden potential. One of the main reasons for this is that locals do not hunt waterfowl. They hunt perdiz and the European hare found here, or big game such as wild boar and axis deer. This is why we feel there is a lot to learn about the hunting possibilities of this friendly country.

We have two of the best locations in the country for waterfowl hunting. One is our private lodge Estancia San Cirilo in the northwest part of the country and its sister lodge, the close by Estancia La Paz, which we use to accommodate larger groups of hunters, and the other is Punta del Diablo located in the southeastern corner of the country on the Atlantic coast. The latter is the part of the country where the largest rice fields of Uruguay are found, so as you can imagine, this is the waterfowl hunting spot you are looking for!
